Playful Voyagers

Play is an important part of children’s learning and development. Through our Playful Voyagers program, we aim to inspire children to go beyond their comfort zone, experimenting, discovering and overcoming problems to build character, resilience and an informed world view. This is achieved through structured and unstructured play, as well as exploration of the natural environment. Through participating in these learning experiences, children are empowered to make decisions, forge connections with their peers, explore their interests and discover a love of learning which will last a lifetime.

Preparation for life after early childhood informs our program, which is why we offer open-ended activities that will help to build a solid foundation of skills and abilities for children’s school years and beyond. We are proud of our diverse community, and we support children from all social, linguistic and cultural backgrounds in reaching their full potential.

The following play-based activities are used to help children learn through play and discovery and strengthen their fine motor skills:

  • Arts and Crafts
  • Dramatic Play
  • Sensory play (sand, water, slime, sensory bins etc.)
  • Technology aided learning using computers and other devices
  • Puzzles and games
  • Language and literacy exercises
  • Construction of LEGO
  • Manipulative play using various materials

We believe that physical well-being and play go hand in hand, and through play children grow an appreciation for good health and physical wellbeing. Our educators take a keen interest in every child’s development, encouraging them to participate in age-appropriate sports, movement activities and imaginative play.

There’s never a dull moment at Little Voyagers, with additional programs being added and existing ones refined to ensure a fun and rewarding educational experience for all children. Healthy eating practices are also encouraged, with fresh and nutritious meals prepared on site daily. With well informed eating and lifestyle practices in place, children can look forward to a healthy and successful future.
